I bought these when Charlotte Russe was having their buy one pair at regular price and get the second pair for $15. I bought them in the nude color since I didn’t have a pair of nude heels in my closet and I bought them in my usual shoe size so they do run true to size, if you wear a half-size I’d recommend going up a size . They are comfortable to wear, but do take some “breaking in” especially in the heel which can be a bit stiff. I’ve mainly wore them to the office and I’m not always on my feet, but I have worn these on quick trips to the mall and Target and my feet didn’t hurt at the end. Everyone needs a pair of nude heels in her closet and at $25.50 these shoes are a great buy! You can check them out here.

I love my Duel boots!!

I found these Carlos by Carlos Santana Duel boots at Amazon. I had originally thought I would get them in the tan color, but they looked a bit too western for me (I prefer Ariats for my cowgirl boots) then I saw the taupe color in suede and decided to order them instead. Here’s the best part…I only paid $37 for a $200 pair of boots! Woo hoo!
Lucky for me Amazon does allow customers to post reviews and one thing I did read in just about all the reviews was the recommendation to order a half-size up, which I did and I would recommend as well. These do slouch a bit as you can tell in the photo above, but it’s just a slight slouch and nothing that would make me return them. I wore these to work, walked around Walmart and at a local park and they didn’t hurt my feet at all at the end of the day. I love the studs on the side of the boot, they add just the right touch to the boot and it’s just on one side and the other side of the boot looks like this.

You can see by this photo I decided to wear them with a denim skirt, I’d like to try them with skinny jeans-if I ever find a pair that actually works on me. One thing I did do was buy some Kiwi Suede Protector to spray on them since there was some rain in the forecast, luckily it didn’t rain so I didn’t get to put the spray to the test, but I feel better knowing their protected.
So there you have it my new Duel boots by Carlos by Carlos Santana. My other boots are jealous!

Girly Girl Rome Collection

This is one of my favorite shoe collections and I discovered them at TJ Maxx, unfortunately I don’t think this shoe designer is around any more. These are great peep toe sling backs that are very comfortable to wear and I’ve gotten tons of compliments on them, especially the pink and grey ones. The black pair remind me of Mystique from X-Men. lol

This pair reminds me of the ocean…I wonder why.

This is my second favorite pair because of the coloring on them I can wear them various pants/slacks for work.

The one that reminds me of Mystique

If your at TJ Maxx and find a pair of these you should definitely pick them up and if there happens to be more than one pair get them all!

@CharlotteRusse Patent Toe Sequined Flats

These are the flats that gave me the idea to start this blog. I’d had my eye on these flats for a while, but I just wasn’t sure about how they would fit and how comfortable they would be and actually bought a different pair of shoes locally because I was actually able to try them on. I’ll review those later, but I kept thinking about these and then Charlotte Russe put them on sale! I couldn’t resist so I checked Charlotte Russe’s return policy and they also have a flat rate shipping of $5.99 not bad, and so of course I bought them. I bought the Black Patent Toe Sequined Flats and also a silver pair but I don’t see those on the site anymore, but they do have a navy color and both are on sale for 10.99 plus and additional 50% off right now. Here’s what mine look like:

These are a size 6, but they do not fit the same. The black sequin flats are a bit more comfortable to wear compared to the silver ones for some reason, and the silver ones are a bit tight so I do find myself pulling them off at my desk, but they’re not uncomfortable to walk in and neither pair slip off when I’m walking. My usual shoe are my heels, but sometimes I feel like wearing flats and when I got my new job I went from wearing jeans every day back to wearing dress pants and I bought some in a petite size which don’t look quite right with my heels.

I actually love my Havianas, but for North Texas winters flip flops are not possible unless you’re crazy like my hubby who thinks anytime is a great time for shorts! And with my new job they’re a definite no-no. So flats have become my flip flops. I love the way both of these look with my pants/slacks/jeans, I can dress them up or wear them on Casual Friday. A problem I sometimes have is with the sequins and some of my slacks, the sequins tend to get caught on the threading on the inside of the hem, but that’s definitely not going to stop me from wearing them. I’ve gotten so many compliments when I wear these, I’m glad that I took a chance and bought them online! So if you’re looking for a great pair of flats now’s the perfect time to buy some and at a great price.

Welcome to my Closet

I’ve decided to start this blog because there are lots of shoes, bags and clothing that I would see online but was unsure about how it would fit, feel, whether it would be comfortable wearing all day and some sites don’t give you the option to review it, so I wouldn’t buy it or I would just wait until we could make a trip to OKC or Dallas so I could actually try it on. Yes even though we have a population of 100K our mall is laughable, but we have gotten a Kohl’s, TJ Maxx and Ross, the trifecta! I love shopping at Kohl’s so much my MIL get’s me gift cards for most major events during the year, but I need more than three places to shop! There will be photos because how can you have a review without photos?
